Curly Knitted Scarf

Needle size 6

Yardage: 225 yds

This scarf gets its curl from a series of short rows.  These are rows that are not knitted all the way across the piece, but back and forth near one edge.  

Cast on: 18 stitches. 

Set up row:  slip 1, knit 8, purl 9.

Change to pattern and work as follows:

Row 1:  Slip 1, knit 6, turn, slip 1, purl to end.

Row 2:  Slip 1, knit 4, turn, slip 1, purl to end.

Row 3:  Slip 1, knit 2, turn, slip 1, purl to end.

Row 4:  Slip 1, knit 8, purl 9.

Now you are at the other side of the piece.

Repeat pattern until piece measures desired length.
